The Rotary Club of St. Neots held a "Wellbeing" day on Saturday 5th April in association with Stroke Awareness and Diabetes UK. The event was held in the United Reformed Church and we were offered two tables; one for IPF and the other for "Save 5" organ donation.
We set up our tables with leaflets and booklets and two Banners provided for us by Rotary. Jo, Joe Cornish and Pat Wicks helped with the set up and we were joined at mid-day by Ron and Jenny Harris and Emma Harris (ILD Nurse Specialist).
We had a very successful day with many enquiries about IPF and we signed up 17 Organ Donors for the "Save 5 Campaign". "T" was delighted as she previously said that if only one person signed up it would be fantastic. We were also visited during the morning by the Deputy Mayor of St. Neots who was interested in our displays.
On another note, I am pleased to report that we have received £240 from the St. Neots Waitrose Food store from their "Community Matters" campaign which will go towards funding our group meetings and speakers. So thank you Waitrose.
