After last year's successful picnic in Hinchingbrooke Park, Huntingdon PE29 6DB, another has been arranged for Saturday 18th July as a social event to which family and friends are also invited.
The Countryside Centre will be open for our exclusive use from 1pm until 4.30pm. Hot drinks (tea/coffee) will be available throughout the afternoon and are free of charge. Please remember to bring your own picnic.
The facilties in the centre include ample tables and chairs in case of inclement weather. There will be a marquee for those wishing to stay out of the sun. Disabled parking is available right by the centre itself and those parking in the main car park are entitled to park for FREE using the parking ticket available as a download. (Do not worrry, we will have spares on the day). The facilities include disabled toilets and there are additional ones by the coffee shop.
The park has an extensive grassed area for our picnic plus two lakes, wooded areas, a childen's play park and bee enclosure. The extensive gravel paths give good access to the majority of these areas by wheelchair or mobility scooter.
Committee members will be on hand to help make this a great day out plus a number of activities including table top games.
